Sharing I-797 copy with new employer

I am in US with x1 company and looking for opportunities outside. Some x2 company/consultancy requested my H1 copy before scheduling the interview, can I share?
Is there any chances for misuse??

you can share with another employer only if you are planning to do a transfer. Other than that there is no use to show them I believe.

Hi everyone it is nice to see all the discussions here....which are very helpful...
coming to my case i'm in USA on H4 but i have an approved H1b(valid till 2017) will there be any problem if i share my approved I-797(H1b) soft copy with any new employer (desi company) which is not popular and i'm hereing about it for the first time. I mean will they misuse that.
