How Long Approved H1B Petition is Valid ?? Visa Not stamped.

Hi
My H1B Petition is approved in 2014, how long is the approved H1B petition is valid..?? Due to some medical emergency reasons am postponing my Visa stamping.
1) Till how long i can postpone the visa stamping ?? is ther any validity like 1 year or 2 years.
2) Employer is forcing me to take interview and go for visa stamping, are there any alternatives for this ?
3) is there any problem or harm in getting H1b visa if i delay & go for stamping. ?

It is valid until it expires or withdrawn by the employer.

You can apply for the Visa when you are ready to travel and the employer is ready to invite you. It is up to you to decide. The employer can of course withdraw the petition if they feel they can no longer offer the job.
