  • H1B visa stamping

    Greetings,

I'm Currently staying in singapore for past 3 years.

I had my H1B visa stamped in India in the year 2007 and expired now. This year i have applied again and got selected in the lottery through different company. Should i need to go for stamping to India or can get stamping in Singapore itself consider this is my second time stamping process. Note that the consulate mentioned in I-797 is India ... Please advise on this.

    Thanks.

You can apply for the visa stamping at the U.S Consulate in Singapore.

      Thanks for the reply Shervin.

I missed out some of the items in my previous query.

      1. VISA stamped in my old passport and the new petition approval is based on my new passport.
      2. Never travelled to USA using the earlier H1B visa.

Considering the above, still is it ok to go stamping in Singapore ?

      Thanks.

Yes. Since this is not your first time H1B stamping, you can apply at any U.S consulate that accepts 3rd country citizen's application.
