H1b other income scenario

Hi Seniors,

I am posting this on behalf of my friend - He is on H1b and GC started recently. He has joined as Uber (the cab company) as partner recently, wanted to try his hand to earn some money by doing some part time. As he is still on H1 and cannot do multiple jobs on H1b, will this part time income still considered as another source of income? Will this create a problem for his status and for GC processing in future?

Yes. When on H1B, he can get paid only by the employer who sponsored his H1B. Part time jobs like these (Ones that are not authorized by USCIS) are not allowed when you are in H1B.
