    Hi Immihelp/Senior members,

    Hi Murali/Senior members,

I came on H4 and later got my H1B on 13th Oct 2004.
My employer gave me appointment letter of 1st Dec 2004.
Will there be a problem for this gap for this 47 days if I go to Canada Toronto for stamping my H1B for 1st time?

Also I have max experience for 3.5 yrs in India and 14 months in USA, will it be issue while stamping in Toronto? Will they require work equivalence in USA?

Also My sal in Labor is xxx and it is 18K more in W2 will it be a problem?

I have 7th March 06 appt at Toronto Canada and 17th March 06 in India.

Is it better to stamp in Toronto or in Mumbai India?

    Thanks,
    avnic

    Hi
FOr first time H1B stamping, please go to the US Consulate in your home country. You might be redirected at Toronto to go to Mumbai. And for H1B Visa stamping at Mumbai, you will have to prove that you have been in employment and received legal wages from the date of approval of your change of status petition. If not, offer logical explanation.
