H4 to H1B Visa Status

Hi,

I entered US on H4 visa. Applied for H1B visa from a employer. H1B is approved and I am authorized to work starting from October 1st. Right I can not work due to personnel reasons starting from Oct 1st. Whats the best possible option for me at this time. Thank you for the help.

If you cannot begin work from Oct 1st, then you should file a COS from H1B to H4 immediately or leave the country before Oct 1st and return back in H4 visa after Oct 1st which will put you back on H4 status.
