  • Stamping in Delhi. One day or two day ?

    Hi,

I am on L1B in US right now. My H1B got approved, so I will be going to Indian for short trip, for stamping. I will be flying from my hometown to Delhi. Do we know, if it a single day process or it will take two days for stamping, finger prints and photograph. Accordingly I will book my flights.

    Regards

It will take atleast 3 days.

    1st Day - OFC
    2nd Day - Visa Interview
3rd Day - Visa Issued (Best Case).
This is just my opinion, not a legal advice.

      Oh.. OK
I will be staying in Bangalore and giving interview in Delhi.
      - Is it possible to give fingerprints (OFC) at Bangalore 4-5 days earlier than interview in Delhi ?
      - As you mentioned 3rd day, what is it for ? Do I need to stay in Delhi for that ? For visa collection, I can give address of Bangalore.

      Regards

You can only appear for the biometric appointment in the same location as the consular interview.

There is no 3rd day officially. Its just two separate days - one for biometric, one for consular. You can collect your passport in Bangalore by giving the location of passport delivery during appointment confirmation.
