Hi

My H1B is expiring in Oct 2016. My current employer has filed for my labor. However, I have got a job offer from another company which I am keen to take up. Since I have limited time on my H1B, I am not sure my 1-140 will get approved before Oct 2016 if the new employer files it .

1. If I change to H4 EAD, will the H1B countdown clock pause?
2. Can the new employer file labor with H4 EAD? If yes, can I then get back to H1B after 1-140 approval on H4 EAD post Oct 2016?
