help needed on marketing analysis..

Is marketing analysis needed for only inhouse project,or we need it if we are going to work for a client also.
wat are the details we need to provide,if we are going to work for aclient.

Market analysis is needed for inhouse product

as per my knowledge, market analysis is needed for products.

This document is asked by consulate, if you say you will be working on inhouse product.

If you say you will work for a client, then they ask for superviser letter something like that.

But so far i haven't heard market analysis asked if you are going to work for a client (even if work on a product for the client).
