Hello Everyone,
I wanted to know the potential impact of obama's executive action on immigration especially with regards to job mobility once your I-140 has been approved. As per one of the items listed on USCIS website (http://www.uscis.gov/immigrationaction)
Provide clarity on adjustment portability to remove unnecessary restrictions on natural career progression and general job mobility to provide relief to workers facing lengthy adjustment delays.
1. Does anyone know how or when would this be implemented and how would it impact people like me. I have my I-140 approved and am looking to change my employer and also not lose my I-140 approved status as I have my wife on H4-EAD.
2. Also, its my understanding that you can carry forward only your priority date and entire GC process has to be re-initiated with new employer. Does the executive action do away with this tedious effort of re-initiating GC with new employer?
Your thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
