H1B amendment in progress-Travel plan to india

Hi Experts,

I have valid H1B visa valid till 25-DEC-2016. Recently i have moved to different client and location and for that i have filed H1B amendment in normal category and i received the receipt also.
The amendment which i have applied is for only client and location change and not for any VISA extension.

My new LCA is approved for that location. I am planning to travel India in JAN 2016 ending.

Is it OK to travel India while H1B amendment is in progress. Please kindly advise.

Yes.

It is advisable to carry the amendment approval notice when you return. But if you do not have it by that time, then you can return back using the previous H1B approval notice, but carry the H1B amendment receipt notice and a copy of the amended LCA to show at the POE if asked.
