Hi ,
I am H1 visa with about 5 years 10 months of completion. I came to US on feb 2010 and my visa expired on oct 2015. My last extension has been applied and is awaiting approval. SO if my approval comes it will be till feb 2016 max. However I have to travel India by december 2015 end to attend my sister's wedding. My spouse is also on H1. So I am thinking to quit my employer and travel to India on same day as my last day with current employer and come back on H4. So there will not be any problem of out of status right as I have booked tickets and planning to go to India on the same day and come back to US on H4 visa? Please advise.
