  • H1B Re-stamping for consulate Processing

As I have already have a Visa stamped with my previous company A(also have valid I-94) up to March 2016 and further I am planning to go for consulate processing with new Company B in the month of January 2016.

Question- What will happen to the existing Visa (stamped up to March 2016 with company A ) that already been stamped in my passport?. Is that stamped visa is going to be void when I go for Visa stamping with new Company B or do I need to provide any specific reason if certain questions been asked by visa interviewer (like - why you came for re-stamping as you have a valid visa up to March 2016) during my visa interview in my home country further.

    Thanks,
    Ishu

When you appear for the visa stamping with employer B's documents, your previous H1B visa will be cancelled. The VO won't care why you are attending the visa interview again. Even if he/she asks, you can say that you no longer work for employer A and you have a new approval notice from B that you want to get stamped.
