  • H1B expiry - Travel back from India

    Hi

I am a H1B holder with my visa expiring on the 25th of December 2015. I
travelled to India for my wedding which was on the 23rd of November. I have
applied for my H1B extension in the month of August, however I am yet to
get a decision on the same. I have my receipt details for the H1B extension
    filed.

Is it ok if I travel back to the US on the 15th of December 2015. Would
there be any issues at the POE considering my visa expiring on the 25th of
    Dec.

    Please advise.

      H1B transfer and Visa stamping

      Hello,
My stamped visa expired in Sep 2014, and i changed two employers after that. My current petition is valid till June 2016. Planning to travel to India in Feb 1st week 2016 and need to get my visa stamped with my existing approved petition (which is till June 2016). So when i go for visa stamping in Chennai consulate in Feb 1st, at which time i would have only 4 months of validity for petition to expire. Will it cause any problems during the interview and visa stamping, like the VO pointing out that the validity is less or something? Appreciate your response.
      Thanks
