I'm getting married in 3 months and my fiancé is in the US right now and he will be coming back in a month for an official engagement function. His H1 extension was approved recently and he will have to get it stamped while he is here and before he heads back.
Since the wedding is in 3 months and since these days the processing time seems to have increased, I was wondering if we can get married legally (registered marriage) when he is here and I can begin the H4 process before the "actual marriage". Is this feasible? I have looked around the forum and some posts say that the VO asks for pictures of wedding, a wedding invitation etc. If we get married on paper, I won't have all of this. Will this be a cause for concern?
Is there any website/page that I can read to see what's the general approach people take for this situation.
