Attorney Appointment

My employment ends by Feb 28 due to corporate merger. I am on H1-B visa status with my current company.
What are my options if I get a job by March 1st and if I do not get a job by March 1st?
I am interested to speak with an attorney. I am located in Virginia (Norfolk) area.

You need to find a job before your current employment ends, so that the transfer can be filed without any missing pay slips. For a successful transfer, you need to provide at least the last 3 months of pay slips. If yru employment ends in Feb and if you find a job in April, then while filing the transfer you won;t have March's payslip and you will be considered to be out of status on H1B. When you are out of status, a transfer is not possible.
