Please suggest on attending visa interview after h1b amendment with 221g

Hi,

I have attended for visa interview on internal project and the VO issued me 221g (White Slip) and requested me for additional documentation on my project.
Now I got a client project and my employer filed amendment.

Could someone please suggest me if I can attend the visa interview on my old case number or should I go for the new visa slot.
