FNU issue in the Passport & I-797 B
Hi Guys,
I am in the same bucket for which i have seen so many request that why I am confused for this as every post says different thing.
Question is : I have stamped my H1B with name as "FNU YYYY YYY" because in my passport,
Surname : <Blank>
Given Name : YYYY YYY
Also in my I-797 it is mentioned as "FNU YYYY YYY".
Whereas YYYY should be there in the Surname Field.
Will I face any problem while applying for SSN, DMV in the USA.
As some post says they "didn't face any problem for there time in USA they applied the correction only when they file for passport renew after expire or when filed extension for H1B application"
If i got for correction in the passport now, then what all H1B documents need to be corrected. Do i need to restamp the already stamped H1B to new passport.
What should be the complete process.
