H4 visa Administrative Processing

I want to share my experience.

I live in US since 2013. I got married in Feb 25th 2016 and applied h4 visa for my wife.

My wife appeared for her H4 visa interview on Mrach 9th at Hyderabad consulate.

Below is the conversation between my wife and VO.

VO- Good Morning
Wife - Good Morning

VO- Passport
Wife - Handed over the Passport to her

VO- When did u got married ?
Wife- Answered

VO- Where is your husband staying
Wife - Answered

VO- congratulations. ur visa has been approved
Wife - Thanks and left from there

My wife asked the visa officer when she will get her passport?
VO replied u will be informed through text and email.

She was not given any 221g and had also not asked for any other documents.

The next day March 10th i checked the passport status online.it was showing passport is with US embassy/Consulate.
Then i checked DS160 application status online. it was showing Administrative processing.

Till Today (16th March ) it is showing the same status. No change in status
I emailed my information to [email protected] and got a reply from them saying ur case is under necessary administrative processing. We cant predict the actual time of processing.This differs from case to case.

The thing i m worried about is my wife was not given any 221g slip by the visa officer and visa was approved as well. Then why it is showing administrative processing. and how long it will take to clear this.

Can anyone suggest how to proceed from here.

Its still too early to panic. If she does not have a common name check/education in TAL associated fields (Bio chemistry etc), don't see a reason why it would stay in admin processing for more than 2 Weeks. I would suggest waiting for 10 Days before approaching the helpdesk as to what is going on.

Any update on your wife situation? My wife is in similar situation and was not given any slip and her case is under administrative processing as well! been 3 weeks but no response.
