Need help - Converting H1 to H4 while in India

Hi,

I was working on H1 when my project ended unexpectedly. I am planning to travel to India and want to get my visa converted to H4 and stamped while in India. Can you please help me answer the below questions:

1. Is this feasible and how long will it take?
2. What is the process for conversion?
3. What are the documents are needed for conversion?

P.S. I held a H4 previously but I had not traveled during that period and hence it was not stamped.

I had converted from my F1 to H4 (while in US and had not traveled outside US) and then to H1. Now I need to convert back to H4.

Ok, it means you were in H4 status.
