H1b expiring-wife is expecting

Hello,

My wife is pregnant and we are expecting baby during August 2006.
My 6th year H1B visa is going to expire in August 2006 too. (including my wife's H4)

I did not file my GC before 365 days so I can not apply for 7th year extension.

what are the possiblities of extending visa for few months on the basis of pregnancy?

You may try alternate form of visa like F- Student visa or B- Visitor visa to bridge the gap for the emergency.

IF you had a vacation in last 6 years, you can extend your stay

Where you on vacation (like 15 days to 1 month) in last 6 years? If yes, then you can try to extend your stay. But you have extend your stay through INS via employer. Consult your HR!!!.

Vacation period must have been spent outside USA to become eligeble for H visa period extension. Vacation taken while in US doesnot help for this purpose.
