I am currently working in India. I got picked in this year's H1B lottery. As a backup plan, I had also applied for a Canadian PR which I will be receiving by the end of May 2016. The passport copy sent to USCIS did not have the Canadian PR stamp as I did not have the PR before April. My concern is whether there can be any issues during my H1B stamping due to the Canadian PR? Can the visa officer reject the H1B on the grounds that I am showing intent to settle outside my home country (India)?
