H1 Transfer while extension

Could some one suggest me . Is it advisable to raise H1 Transfer while H1 extension is in progress while H1 is still valid.

I believe it is possible as long as you do it before your I-94 expiry. If tried after expiry the extension would be treated as bridge between current employer and next and would need to be approved first.
