Hi,
My visa expired last year but I have a valid I797 until 2019. I'll be travelling to India this time and would need to go through visa stamping/interview process.
I have a couple of questions that I need some help on:
(1) Can I start my DS160 without making my travel plans? If so, can I set the option to NO when in DS160 they ask about travel plans?
(2) Which step comes first, make my visa fee payment or fill out my DS160?
I did this last time, but can't seem to remember all the details correctly. Besides, I've been hearing rumors that we are unable to find visa stamping dates in Chennai and other consulates.
