Is it possible to take my OPT and resume H1B later

I came to US on F1 visa and currently pursuing my Master's and I will graduate in December 2016. Meanwhile I got my H1B approved for 2016 October. So basically I will not be eligible for CPT or OPT since my status will change from F1 to H1. Is it possible for me to take my OPT starting from December and then resume my H1B later after few months (without being subjected to lottery)? Please help.

If H1 was filed as COS then you must move to H1 status from 01-Oct-2016. In case you want to continue on OPT, you should leave US before 01-Oct-2016, and re enter in F1 status.
