  • License renewal second level verification rejected by USCIS

    Hello all,

I am on H1B visa from Oct 2013. I switched company in Nov 2014 and the visa date was extended until Oct 2017.
I have not traveled outside USA in between.

When I went to renew my license(Texas DPS) which was expiring on Sep 30th, 2016(old i94 date from i797A), they sent it for second level verification, since the i94 date was still showing as Sep 30th and not updated.

Now(Oct 5th 2016), when I called up DPS texas and verified about the second level verification status, they said USCIS has rejected it.

What am I supposed to do now?

    Thanks,
    Arun

Did the approval notices come with new I94? Check the bottom of your I797.

This is my opinion not legal advice.

Would suggest taking an infopass appointment from USCIS and talk to an USCIS officer.
