My sister in law was today interviewed and her visa was denied. She said the reason was that her sister (my wife) and me both have green card, so she is more likely to stay here after her visa status expires. She skipped one year at university, came with J1 visa last year for summer went back home (Czech rep.) and now reapplied with H-2B so she can earn some more money for studies. She intended to come in the beginning of april and go back early in september so she can go back to school. Somehow the visa were denied... I think its quite ridiculous that green card of a relative can affect this in negative way (one would think it should help) and am thinking if that means that our relatives cant visit us in the States, cause they are "suspicuos" and would stay here with us.
Do you think there is anything that we can do to help her ? Is there any chance to succeed if she reapplies ? Thank you very much for your answer
