H1 (approved: 1year) got expired unused.

Dear All,

My H1 visa was approved for 1 year in 2012 and got expired on 30th Sep 2013. I could not travel to U.S. during that period.
Now I am getting some good opportunities and thinking of getting fresh H1.

Please suggest me on options which I should follow.

Ask the employer to file cap exempt H1.Once they get new I797 then you can use it to schedule fresh H1 stamping.
