I'm in the same boat as well, friends. Had my visa interview at the Embassy in Delhi and it went smoothly or so I thought. Did not receive a 221g and VO approved it in under 2 mins and said that I would get the passport in about a weeks time.

But, I have been waiting in AP ever since. Here is a brief timeline


OFC - 20th May 2019
Visa Interview - 21st May 2019

Status - Administrative Processing
Last Update Date - 21st May 2019
Ustraveldocs - "Passport with US Embassy/Consulate"
Live Tracker - "Passport with US Embassy/Consulate"

Status Update - Administrative Processing
Last Update Date - 4th June 2019
Ustraveldocs - "Document Delivery Information:"
Live Tracker - "There is no status for the passport number submitted"\


At this point what was previously a minor annoyance has turned into mild frustratio . I'm hoping to get my passport back this week but....who knows....

16th May administrative process, received to 221g green slip
interview and fingerprint on 24th May -VISA APPROVED

and passport is with embassy

From 1st June its showing -“There is no status update available for the passport number submitted” when i see with passportstatus site and when i ceac site showing

case updated on 24th May ( same day when i appeared for interview) administrative processing.
case again updated on 3rd june - admin processing
case again updated on 3rd june- admin processing


I’ve been trying to track my passport and I’m getting these different replies from these different sources recently:

USTRAVELDOCS Profile: “Document Delivery Information” instead of “Your passport is still with consulate/embassy”

passportstatus email: “There’s no status update available for the passport number submitted”

My CEAC visa status still says admin processing though.

Hello all,
The only advice is keep on waiting and build the patience quality if you don´t have it...My case: Showed up for the interview: May 17th, I was given a white slip with 221g. Fist update June 7th still AP. June 10th came back to Application Received. June 11th back to Administrative processing but the same day in the afternoon it updated to ISSUED. Fortunately, it came approved and now I´m waiting to receive my passport...I know the days become a nightmare when you are waiting but it´s been said that when they keep your passport the chances of getting the visa are 99%. So keep praying for the good.

I attended visa interview for H1B on 30 May 2019 in Mumbai consulate. Visa officer informed me that visa is approved and took my passport. The status is "Administrative processing" since then. However 'Case Last Updated' keeps on updating every 8 days. Here is the timeline.

OFC appointment: 28 May 2019
Interview Date: 30 May 2019
1st date update: 7 June 2019
2nd date update: 17 June 2019
3rd date update: 25 June 2019.

Has anyone else experienced this frequent case date update and visa not issued?

VO said visa is approved at Mumbai consulate. Still no updates, just showing Administrative Processing. Any idea how long it is taking nowadays to get Passport through Mumbai consulate
