I applied for an H1B after an approved petition in July '16. I was issued a 221 (g) and asked for more documents. I submitted these in August '16, and the case is in Administrative Processing ever since. I was recently accepted by a prestigious university in the US, and would like to go study there instead.*I do not care what happens to my H1B application or cap-exempt status.*
What do I need to do in order to successfully apply for an F1 visa? Do I need to withdraw my H1B application? I have the I-20 from the university and proof of sufficient funds.
