h1b visa stamping after change of status from h4 to h1

Hi,

I came to US in feb 2014 on H4 visa. I applied for COS for H1 in 2014 and got my H1 approved.

As per the recent petition from my current employer it is valid till 2019 but my H4 visa expired in sep 2015.

I am planning to travel to India in 2017. when I tried to schedule an appointment for H1B stamping, I came across below question.

Do you have a previous H-1B visa (temporary occupation, temporary worker or trainee)?

What should I answer for this question?

Having H1 stamp in passport is not same as having H1 status, and vice versa. If you never had a H1 stamp in your passport answer would be NO.
