How long before consulate returns stamped passport? - Delhi consulate

Hi,
My wife had gone for her H1B stamping at the Delhi consulate last thursday. She got approved and was told to collect the passport from VFS facility in about 72 hours. Its been about a week now and she has still not heard anything about her passport. All efforts to contact the consulate has failed.
Can you please let me how long it generally takes for them to return the passport?

Normally 3days is time to return passport...Check with VFS Counter in delhi......
