Travel to India and Return (h1B)

Hi All,

My H1B visa is expiring on 30-SEP-2017, and I need to travel to India in June and return in July first week. Will there be any problem during my return in the port of entry.
My employer has advised to start the extension process once I return and proceed to apply in premium.
Kindly let me know you inputs / advise.

Sharan, Employer is right, proceed to apply for extension after you return in premium. Make sure you have 8 weeks of time left on your visa so you do not have any issues at port of entry.

This is what I did in 2015. I did not even have 2 months left when I came back, but JFK immigration let me in.
I do not that is any problem at all. But make sure you assess the conditions at that time
