  • H1B Laidoff with 2 months notice

I am on H1B and have recently Laid off with 60 days advance notice and termination date is March 31, 2017. Also getting paid until March 31, 2017 from date of notice Jan 25, 2017. Meanwhile, I have got offer from another employer and joining date is April 10, 2017. I know there is grace period of 60 days but my current employer already have given me that 60 days notice as part of layoff. So that layoff 60 days will be considered as a part of H1B grace period ? or H1B grace period will start after my termination date of March 31, 2017 ?

    No issues

I was on the same boat few years back. As you have little gap there is no issue. Doesn't matter how much notice you got.
