H1-B petition. Things to understand before filing it. (Revoke or not)
Hi there,
Status: F1 OPT (expiring on 4th July). OPT extension available.
My current employer(A) is filing my H1-B petition. Now situation is I am into interviews which are likely to converted into job offer. I don't wish to continue with my current job. So I am planning to join new company (B) in a month. So my question what are the options I have? New company B would not filing H1-B this year (Too late to file)
1. Should I tell my current employer B to stop filing my employer?
2. Should I wait for the offer letter and then tell current employer to revoke H1-B petition?
2(a) Can current employer easily revoke H1-B petition? What is the procedure and time line for same?
2(b) Would H1-B revoked will impact negatively in future for next year H1-B sponsorship?
I am naive in knowledge about the H1-B. Pardon me if some of this seems irrelevant.
