My girlfriend is currently in India and she has plans of coming to the US. She left from the US in 2012 for personal reasons and at that time she held a valid H1B visa. Her employer then has already filled for a petition for her under H1B visa revival.
I wanted to get some more information about the process. The employer has stated that they have added the start date for her as 01Jun2017. If the visa is approved, and the start date of the visa is 01Jun2017, does she have to be here in the US before that date? Does it depend on how long the employer is willing to hold out (keep the offer valid) or does it depend on USCIS?
