    unpaid work while on H1B visa

    Hi,
    I am currently on H1B visa in US and recently got a chance to write technical articles for an independent online community. They have 2 options one for which they wont pay and other they can pay. I am opting the unpaid option as of now. So need to know would it be legal to work for them?

    Yes, this is allowed, since you are not compensated for your labor
