H4 visa stamping without H1B stamping

I am on H1B visa in the US and have recently changed jobs. My wife is here in the US with me on H4. I have not gone back to India to re-stamp my H1B visa. Is it safe for my wife to go back to India (Kolkata) to visit her parents and get her H4 stamped without me stamping my H1B. I am not sure how the current situation is back in India and wanted to know if any one else is/has faced the same situation and have gotten the H4 visa stamped successfully. I hope some one can kindly shine some light on the situation.

Visa is only for entry purposes. So it does not matter whether your visa is stamped or not as far as your wife's visa stamping is concerned. She can go for her stamping.
