Hi,
My employer filed my H1-B as an out of country case last year as I had to travel to India during April-May time-frame. I was on H4 and not working that time. I was picked up in lottery and got the approval in mid October. Meanwhile, I also got my EAD and currently I am working on H4 EAD.
Now, the approved petition that I received was only for a year and I had to travel internationally and get my stamping done and re-enter on H1B for it to be valid, which I have not done so far. It expires in October this year. I have the following questions:
1. Is it mandatory to get the stamping done before the petition expires in October or do I have the option to use it anytime later.
2. I only have 4 months left to activate this visa, is it a risk to go for stamping for such a short duration, or is there an option to file for extension first and then go for stamping?
Thank you in advance for your help.
