My H4 visa will be expiring this October 2017. It has been applied for H4 extension. Meanwhile, I have joined an university for my Masters and wish to get my visa status change from H4 to F1. I have plans to get this done in another couple of weeks.
My Question:
1. Can I proceed with COS from H4 to F1 regardless of H4 extensions?
2. If I get my COS from H4 to F1 before H4 approved, will it cause any issue?
3. What happens if H4 get approved after COS to F1, will my F1 status retain or will it move back to H4?
4. Any particular procedure to be followed or any work around available for such situations?
