  • First H1 stamping

    Hi,

I came to the US in 2003 on H4. Transferred to F1 and then to H1-B in 2010. I have my I-140 approved. Since I came to US, I have only been out of the country once, that too on F-1 to Canada, so didn't require any visa stamping. So my question is, do I have to go back to India to get my visa stamped o can I go to Canada instead? Both my bachelor and masters were in US. All my work experience is in US. Any tips are helpful. Thanks!

There is no rule that you have to go back to India to get your visa stamped. You can try it in Canada.
Just an opinion; Not legal advice.
