    a) I am employed with Company A with a valid work permit for another 2 years. Now I have got an offer from Company B and will join them on a Receipt.
Am I allowed to join Company C if needed before getting an approval from Company B ?? As my I797 is currently valid for another two years, I believe I can but not sure hence need a clarity. Also are there any risks ??

    b) Can I take 4-5 days break (including weekends) before Joining Employer B ?

I recently left my job and looking for new one. Actually I am much interested to get a job in Jamaica. Because my past job was there and I have spent about 3 years. So I know the way better. However, I am looking for a job site which can help me to find out a specific job in specific area. If you have another reliable job sites please let me know. I would like to try ........

    Thank you!

Your I797 approval is only for Employer A not for B. technically one is in status only if one has a valid I-94, paystubs, and I797 with current employer, any other time it is a grey area. So, though you can apply for C and C an in turn petition for you, their petition will only be approved if B's petition is approved, OR, C's petition may get approved as consular processing needing you to leave US and re enter on a valid H1 visa showing C's I797.

Generally one should be paid for all the days one is on H1 status, but a few days should be fine.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
