Hi all,
I am currently on as F1 visa, my employer applied for an H1B, a counselor notice, in March as i had to travel to India after the application (May-June).
I was picked in the lottery and now have my approval (I 797). My EAD expires in early August and H1B will not be activated till 1st Oct.
Do i qualify for the cap gap? Or do i apply for an STEM OPT extension?
If i apply for the STEM OPT extension, can i continue to work on my F1 visa, in-spite of having a H1B approved status?
Any help is highly appreciated.
