Domestic travel when H4 is in extension

My husband's H1 extension is done and dependants(me n daughter) aren't done yet, applications were sent in end of March..i94 expired march 31st.. I have an upcoming domestic travel (by air) in August and not sure if i can get the extension approval by then. Will this be an issue since my i94 has expired?

There is no immigration status check for domestic air travel. All you need is a picture id.

Bring your I-539 receipt just in case. There are some CBP checkpoints inside the US, especially within 100 miles of the border.

Especially while travelling, always have your documents on you, which shows your status in the country.
