H4 Visa Valid till Sep 2017, Can I travel US and come back to india before expiry dat

Hi Everyone,

My Wife is in US and is on H1B visa which is valid till 30th Sep'17. She has already applied for Visa Extension, but approval has not yet come. My H4 visa is also valid till 30th Sep17. Can I travel to US in Aug'17 and come back to india before 15th Sep'17? If no, then what could be other options

Though you can but travelling out of US while a EOS is pending can render the EOS as abandoned, in which case you will have to re apply H4 extension.
