H4 -221g Administrative Processing

Hello,

My wife attended H4 visa interview today at Hyderabad. She has been issued an 221g form with a case number and her passport and my I-797 copy has been retained by visa officer. She was told that if they need any additional documents they would email us or collect the passport in 5 working days.

Is this a general process ? I am little worried about it.

Please let me know.
