Lost H4 visa and got a temp passport, Going to India via UK

Lost my passport with H4 visa in USA. I did get my temp visa from the Indian embassy.
Have booked a ticket back to India via London. Does UK immigration ask for US visa as my transit is in heathrow?if yes what should I do, if no what documents I need to carry.

Any help on this appreciated.

I'm in the same situation right now.
Have booked a ticket back to India via London. Lost my passport with F2 visa in USA. I did get my new passport in tatkal service from the Indian embassy. Heard that transit visa is required as I don't have the US visa stamped in the new passport . If yes, what should I do as my travel date is 3rd Dec and I don't have enough time to get a transit visa.

Any help on this is appreciated.
