H1B expired - Have extension receipt number - Request guidence on switching job
Hi,
I joined a new employer A in India and they applied for H1B transfer cap exempt (premium processing) and interview was scheduled for Aug 2016. When went for visa interview there was RFE and finally got approval by July 2017 with stamping valid till Oct 2017. I travelled to USA by Sep 24 2017 and immediately filed for extension (normal and not premium).
I have the receipt number now, please note that my visa is expired now and I'm staying and working with the receipt number
1. IS there any risk in working with just the receipt while my Visa is expired.
2. Can I find another job\employer now and if the new employer files for transfer in premium processing and if it gets approved in 15-20 days then can I join the new employer and start to work? Will I get the i94 extended with the new employers transfer?
