Hi All
I have a H1-B visa with an LCA for Indianapolis. I will be starting a project in Houston from January 2018, and have applied for the corresponding LCA amendment. The amendment typically takes 1 month to process. In the meantime, my wife has applied for a H4 visa so that she can travel with me for the Houston project. My question is, what is the petition receipt number that she should put on the DS-160? The existing petition receipt number of the latest LCA points to Indianapolis. If we wait for the new petition to come, it will take another 1 month, after which it will be too late for her to apply for a H4, as my travel is soon after that. Can she use the existing petition number now, and still mark the "location of stay in US" as Houston?
We're stuck on this one point for a long time, although i've asked many of my colleagues none of them are 100% sure, and most of them are suggesting to use the existing petition number. However, in that case, can she still put the location as Houston? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
