Need clarification on expiration date on recent H1 visa

I attended visa interview to get my H1 visa stamped on 12/12/2017 and it was approved. This is my first H1 visa stamping. Prior to this I was on F-1. Expiration date on old I-797A is 12/29/2017. I filed for an extension and my recent i-797 has expiration date of 11/05/2018.

I collected my passport with H1 Stamped and the expiration date on the visa is 12/29/2017. I am confused why I have the expiration date from my previous i797 and not the current. I am supposed to fly back on 01/05/2018. Is the expiration date an issue that needs to be fixed?

I tried looking for instructions on how to get this corrected, I could not find any information. I have emailed [email protected] with the details and I am awaiting their reply. Do you have any suggestions/instructions for getting this fixed?
